Basemap: it should not be at the top of the menu, but under Change Current Map Type.

This may also be the case for other custom-coordinate systems that do not fit 
the basemap framework. So, basemap should be an option, but not the default. 
Also, I think it should not be at the top of the menu, but under Change Current

put the basemap menu item at the bottom of each menu, not under "Change Map 
Type", since "basemap" menu item will also appear in LISA/LocalG map menus 
(which doesn't have menu item "Change Map Type").
