WROVER Board: critical error 0x00000004

I have a Freenove WROVER board (https://store.freenove.com/products/fnk0060). It seems not to be supported by the project.
It was easy to flash Firmaware v15.7.0 via Web Installer, but shows the error 0x00000004 when connecting to the Web Interface.
I suspect this is only due to different pinouts for the cameera compared to the AI-Thinker board? If this is the case, where will i have to reconfigure pinouts, so i might get it working on my board?

I would say your hardware is bad or not supported.
There is no built in option to reconfigure the pins.

Thank you for your quick help! I installed the provided firmware, but the device ended up unresponsive, repeately displaying the following message on the serial monitor:

Also facing the same problem with my ESP32 Wrover.
I'm quite new with this ESP world. So I prefer to ask : do I understand correctly that your branch make the application Wrover compatible by changing some pin assignments ?
I install with Web Installer as recommended in the official doc. How can I install your branch in the same way ?

There may be an error while copying the files or your SD card may be having problems.
You can try copying the files to the SD card again using a PC.

I thought it was a corrupt SD card but after swapping the SD I get the same error.

Maybe its the same issue as here: espressif/esp-idf#9289 (comment)

This error occurs when the ESP cannot find a file (in your case: /sdcard/html/explain_2.html) on the SD because it is missing or corrupted.

It's not the only file that gives an error, the log is filled with these errors even after formatting everything and trying a new SD card. I only get this error after installing this firmware, the previous version worked without problems.
