Logic on changing digits

I expect this has been discussed before, but I could not find a matching topic.

Whenever the analog counter closes in on the next digital value change, the digital number starts to roll over and becomes unrecognizable. That is fine. The logic assumes it has not changed and continues without error.
But eventually the analog values roll over and the reading switches from N.9999 to N.0000. It would be logical to assume that the value for "N" hase increased by one, now. However that is not the case. If the last correct value for N was 1, it always tests 1.0000 with a "Previous Value" of 1.9999 whitch results in a "Neg. Rate" error:

Sorry for the not so fiting screenshot. A few minutes ago it showed a raw value of "012NN.0103". But I guess you get the point.
I observe this practically every time. Wouldn't it be consistantly correct to let the logic increase "N" by 1 for the plausibility-test if the analog dials obviously rolled over?
Is there an option I missed or is there any reason for this behaviour?

Ah, ok. I think I just found it myself: just clicked on "Expert Mode" in configuration and found the option "CheckDigitIncreaseConsistency" which was set to "false". The info on this option suggests, it does exactly what I was missing.
