Esp32 and Home Assistant

Sorry for the questions, i read all the articel but nothing works fine....

the mqtt data from esp come to home assistant, i see it in the mqtt explorer.
But nevertheless, the data will not be shown in the overview with yaml config file....

so here is my setup:
and don't unterstand why the rate is to high, i deactivated the option in the configuration.....

This seems only a shown problem. Because I fit it correctly in the box with tilting the picture. Why it is shown at the first page like this I don’t know…

No. Look at the big red rectangle. It's an alignment mark over the digits. But the digits are changing and so the alignment can not be find the saved alignment picture.

Ok I already changed it, but nothing changes….
I used the m3 and the Nr. as reference marks.

The leading 'G' is a capital letter in the topic, but not in HA!

And the alignment should be better!

The connection lose is an issue which is a bug which will need fixing on our side. but it does not cause problems on your side.

So you say you still don't receive the data in HA?
Do you have other MQTT sensors that are working?
if you get the data in the MQTT Explorer, then clearly it must be an issue on HA side!

Hi Caco3, no data in mqtt explorer. earlier i got some....(see pic) but now, no infos in the explorer....
I was waiting about 1hour to get data, but no change....

is it anyway possible to write the raw data with time stamp in an Text file, continously?

Not directly. One way is to enable the logging (maybe debug logging is needed).
But I would suggest to use MQTT with HA. many are using it.

Alternatively you can fetch it through REST: http://<IP>/json

I disabled analog, also made an hard restart. And make the possible change higher (5m3).
So no error any more in AIotE.
But I don’t get the data shown in HA. Mqtt explorer is connection lost. No new log file in AI on the edge software.
i don’t know what I am doing wrong….

MQTT has some open issues. Please give us another 1..2 weeks to work on that!
Connection lose (LWT firing) is an open issue, but does not have an impact on receiving data!

There are some great enhancements regarding MQTT. @icewombat81 could you try https://github.com/jomjol/AI-on-the-edge-device/actions/runs/3341303533 and see if it is better?

BTW, LWT firing only seems to happen if 2 MQTT clients have the same ID. That was the default until now but got fixed in above branch.

Hi i will test it tomorrow, thanks for updating.
Meanwhile it works, but i don't know why. I installed home assistant again new, updated everything an changed the script in the yaml file, until it worked. There is no good syntax explanation for programming, so its try and error.
Also the connection need very long time to get the data....
I will make an new "tutorial" with all my "struggles" to help others to install your idea/you great work with AI.
