I've come across this peculiar bug a few times now, and it's repeatable on my system.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start Jellyfin on your samsung TV
  2. Perform an action (e.g. browse the home screen)
  3. Turn the TV off.
  4. Perform actions on another device (e.g. watch episodes of a tv show)
  5. Turn the TV on.

Result
The TV will launch jellyfin automatically, but the home screen will be in the state of step 2 until you manually exit the app and enter it again.

Expected result
When launching the TV and jellyfin in step 5, the app should refresh the content automatically to ensure the viewed state is current. e.g. by comparing against a timer.

Impact
This is a UX bug with relatively minor impact. For users who engage with their TVs primarily through jellyfin and watch on multiple devices, this is a more significant issue that hurts the QoL of the app.
