Affected app version

v2.4.0

Steps to reproduce the bug

I enable "Live Network Speed" in the setting.

Expected behavior

Live speed shows up in the notification. It does work, but it inevitably stops after sometime. Could be minutes, but sometimes after a few hours.

Actual behavior

Then the live network speed in the notification simply shows zero and does not change no matter how I use the network. Only after I go to settings and disable then re-enable the live network speed does it work.

Does turning the screen off and then back on not refresh the notification?

Unfortunately no. Turning the screen on and off does not restore the live network speed. It remains stuck at 0 no matter what network activity I have. Only going into the app's setting and disable then re-enable the live network speed toggle restore the speed.

If there is any test I can do to debug this I'd be very happy to do so! Thanks for looking into this!

This always seems to happen for me if I switch to Wi-Fi. Only turning Live speed off and on will show the Wi-Fi network speed.

Today I discovered this application. I'm looking for an alternative to Internet speed meter lite.

I'm having exactly the same problem.
I'm running Android 13 and a OnePlus 8.

As far as the battery is concerned, I've allowed the application to run in the background, but nothing works.
