Sandbox used as data respository

During the BIL Coastal Modeling Cloud Sandbox kickoff meeting John Wilkin asked "Will the Coastal Modeling Cloud Sandbox also be a Cloud data repository where we could put experimental ECCOFS outputs for groups like VIMS to experiment with pulling their open boundary data from ... or should we serve ECCOFS prototype data from e.g. Rutgers THREDDS?"

We want the stakeholders to be able to drive the development of sandbox features to meet their needs. What resources would be needed to make this a feature for users of the sandbox.

@mwengren @patrick-tripp Any ideas of how to proceed with this and how to create this functionality? Would it be a big change or an easy service to provide as we can scale memory needs?

Also, if you can think of who else should be included please feel free to add them here.
