Details

  • Build a moderately accurate model in spreadsheet for resources based on earlier work for CIP
    • model should include estimates for costs based on possible hosting models
  • Explore the possibility of modelling more than timeliness with DeltaQ #41
  • Provide ΔQ model(s) for bandwidth consumption
  • Socialise models and results with the community
  • Explore mempool designs and their impact

Definition of Done

  • We can share models and results with the community on the website
  • Stakeholders can evaluate impact of varying parameters on expected resources consumption

We have build three models:

  1. An online system-dynamics model for the aggregate profitability of Cardano, given higher throughput.
  2. An online calculator SPO profitability under Leios.
  3. A spreadsheet for aggregate SPO profitability under Leios.

Socialise models and results with the community

The models are being socialized at the November monthly demo & review.

We can share models and results with the community on the website

Yes, the models are ready to share.

Stakeholders can evaluate impact of varying parameters on expected resources consumption

Yes, SPOs and others can vary parameters and assumptions to see different techno-economic metrics.
