The Verify on-disk blockchain state check starts with 0% on every application start in the new version of Daedalus and takes about 15 minutes.

I would expect that the startup routine would be not taking 15 minutes when already synced.

I also get this. Win 11 x64, latest client.

Could we at least get the Daedalus Cardano node detached from the wallet?? So I can run my full node on a separate machine and the daedalus wallet (client only) on my PC.

Since this isn't scaling anymore.. ;(

I have tested it with version 6.0.0 and I see the same behavior.

@michalrus Kindly I would like to ask you to give us some feedback about this issue. Are you or someone else have taken a look into it? Do you can reproduce it? Is it something special to the on-disk blockchain on my computer? Are they any workarounds to fix this issue?

Just a side note:
It feels not so comfortable to getting no response back. I mean Charles Hoskinson and others who are working on Cardano are saying every time how important the community is and that every person is so ambitioned. Unfortunately, when it comes to concrete issues no one is responding and feels responsible. I think that is not very charming.

Hello all,

We cannot reproduce this but will look into it.

Can you all please submit logs by opening a support ticket? 🙏

P.S. To speed things up, could you do a disk/filesystem check to rule out the possibility that FS corruption is causing this?

Hi all,

Could you check if the issue is still present in the 6.0.1 hotfix release that uses the new 9.1.1 node?

Thanks in advance!

Still the same with version 6.0.1 of Daedalus. When restarting the software after it was synced completely the Verify on-disk blockchain state starts from zero.

@HHobeck, could you wait for it to fully complete once, and then restart, and check?

Interestingly Stopping Cardano node takes also a while which is disturbing as well.

Okay, thanks for checking!

It's still about 15 minutes, not a couple of hours?

You are welcome. Yes that is correct the startup takes 15 minutes not hours.

I need to revise my statement: The startup routine takes about 1h and 10 minutes and the shutdown routine takes exactly 5 minutes (maybe a time-out logic is applying?).

Do we have any update or a fix for this?
I am using Daedalus v6.0.2 but still having the same issues.

My startup takes about an hour.
