In RAGflow, chat history in the Chat mode always affects the reasoning for new questions—every message in the current session is sent as context to the model, so previous turns directly influence answers as long as you stay within the model’s context window size (source). For Agent mode, chat history only persists if you reuse the same session ID. If you click "Run" in the Agent function without managing the session, it starts a new session and previous logs are erased—so history does not affect reasoning unless you explicitly maintain the session (source, source). The Agent chat UI tracks session IDs and preserves history across messages, but resetting the session clears it (source). This behavior is determined by RAGflow’s session and context management, not just the model’s capabilities. You can control how much history is included in context using the To reply, just mention @dosu. How did I do? Good | Irrelevant | Incorrect | Verbose | Hallucination | Report 🐛 | Other |

In the latest version of RAGflow, when using Chat and Agent, if they are in the same chat box, will previously asked questions (chat history)affect the reasoning process of the new question-and-answer session, or does this depend on the capabilities of the model itself? (Chat seems to have a chat history function? But what about the same chat box after clicking run in the agent function?) @dosu
