Hello,

I work on a HPC support team,

I have a user that when trying to use a image file out of CIFS protocol network share, the application loads the image a rate of less than 1MB per minute in ImageJ. If I use the same image from a local storage system (IE a HDD or SSD) , the software is able to upload and load the image in less than 30 seconds. This error only seems to be tied with it how it handles files on CIFS/Network shares. Please note in regards to downloading the image to the local machine storage, my speed was over 30MB's a second so it does not appear to be in relation to network or network speed error.

If you have any suggestions, that would be Great!

Thank you
Max

What format are the images in? How large is a typical image file? Are you opening the images using ImageJ or Bio-Formats?

This appears to be a Bio-Formats issue. It can be reported at
