Can't see the anything on the layout editor.

The layout creator for this doesn't show up. I don't know what else to say all that shows up are the buttons in the top right and the green box. When I switch from preview mode back into edit mode, the hidden disabled thing does show up, but for only a second. I'm using the most recent version of firefox.

Unfortunately, I haven't been maintaining this for quite some time and I'm not likely to have the time to be able to do anything with it in the near future either. You can try asking on the Hollow Knight discord in the modding channel to see if anyone has a workaround, but that's the best I can offer for now.
