Outlook popup gets maximized

Current situation:
Outlook is running when locking the screen.
During the night some email messages are received.

After unlocking:
The 'new email' popup messages are now shown using a maximized window.
These popup message windows cannot be resized or reset to normal size.
Also closing the message window does not help: Next time the message window shows its still maximized.
