Invite by Email to Space

Hi, in the humhub-UI I am able to invite users to a space by email (when they have not yet registered an account on the instance). I am failing to understand whether this is possible with the api. From what I see, the /user/invite endpoint does allow an array of emails but this is only an invitation to the instance. I would like to invite to a space directly.
