[Sorry, not a feature request, but the IRC channel in the README appears to be dead and I didn't see a better place to bring this up. Happy to redirect this elsewhere if you can point me to the right place]
Does Hometown handle mutes differently than stock Mastodon?
Over in tuskyapp/Tusky#3919 a user is reporting that if they mute a user on their HT instance the user's statuses still show up as replies in threads (and that apparently this is desired behaviour).
Tusky mutes them everywhere, because that's what the API instructions describe (https://docs.joinmastodon.org/methods/accounts/#mute says "Clients should filter statuses and notifications from this account, if received").
If this is different behaviour between HT and Mastodon, is there a way for clients to reliably detect the intended behaviour? E.g., because Hometown returns something special in the instance info API call?
