Package does not seem to work

I have a fresh install of Atom 1.37, and have installed atom-latex and language-latex. I install atom-autocomplete-latex-references, but nothing seems to happen -- no error messages or anything. When editing a .tex-file, there is no hint of an autocomplete function when starting a ref-command.

Any pointers to what is the problem?

Is autocomplete working with other thinks? There is also sometimes an issue with other Packages which are using autocomplete.
