How to show red badge/count of notifications?

Right now the implementation does not appear to show any red dot/number on the bell icon when the user has a notificaiton, so the user will not see it unless they decide to click on it - what is the best approach to fixing this?

@JEverhart383 does the NotificationIcon component do this automatically? I swapped it out with a custom one for styling not realizing that this functionality may be built in.

Amazing! I'll do some research to see what it would take to override the icon and provide a custom one. Other parts of the feed support that pattern, but not this one afaik.
