Both for auto upload and manual upload (from the app), the image ended up being recompressed: jpeg files are smaller than the original size and png files (screenshots) are converted to jpeg.
Is there a way to disable this behavior? Uploading from photo app directly doesn't recompress it so it must be done internally by the seafile app itself before uploading.
Apparently this has been an issue since at least 2017?
