a lot has changed over the years... many of the links are now dead.

lanyrd is an obvious one, and some of the submission sites also seem to have disappeared.

Good call, and probably inevitable, but worth revisiting. Quite a few things have changed as more events have moved online, as well.

I added issues for the couple bits that caught my eye while I was moving the hosting, but I'm sure there is more. at least one of the other links is now a domain squatter page.
