As an Administrator, I'd like to be able to see what has recently been updated, and who has recently done what #32

My vote on this is an event model that all the extensions can register... this allows for event severity levels, etc.

We used protocolist in code_critic and it seemed pretty good. I'd suggest we pick an existing gem that does activity feeds, just to avoid NIH. Thoughts?

There are other activity feed gems, anyone feel like listing the ones they know of? Something something ruby toolbox I know

As far as NIH goes, the more we can outsource to well-tested, well-maintained gems, the better. That looks pretty decent to me, @knewter, but more research required before we proceed.
