Library that is not a collection/series

I would love to have libraries that are not organized as collections or series.
The ebooks that I have should be considered as solitary books.
Even though they are stored in directories and subdirectories, the directories have no meaning.

This is what my collection looks like:

Some books are organized in a meanigful directory (eg it/javascript), some are just stored somewhere (eg 01, 02).

If I currently scan these books, I end up with a collection 01 that has 3 books, collection 02 that has 3 books, etc.
What I want is no collections, but just a flat list of all books, showing book1.pdf to book18.pdf.

As usual, after writing a post, I find a possible solution 😁

For this test I renamed a few top-level directories, so their name starts with _ebook (eg _ebook01, _ebook_humblebundle-2401).
I then configure the library setting Scanner > One-Shots directory to _ebook.
All books, regardless how deep they're nested, now show up as single books.

Things to improve:

• Do not require directory renaming so they match the One-Shots directory, just have an option to have the scanner treat all files in a directory tree as one-shots.
• Remove the One-shot label from the book in the Browse screen.

You can just set the One-Shots directory to the root folder of your library, there's no need to rename.

Yeah, found that out while playing around.
I had to move my magazine subscriptions out into another dir, and then could set the root dir as one-shots dir.
Looks like I'm settling on Komga for my collection, and start tagging things 😸
