Hello!
We use opentype.js to read and save OTF files. And unfortunately, they do not support kerning at the moment. So, Glyphr Studio cannot directly export OTF files with kern values.

My process is a bit of a workaround, but if I have a font that has kerning, I export to SVG first, then use something like Font Forge to convert SVG to OTF. I wish I could export straight to OTF with all OTF features... but it's not possible :-)

More details about what file formats do what features, see this help doc
http://help.glyphrstudio.com/overview_file_formats.html

Let me know if you have any other issues or comments!

Browsing through the opentype.js issues, it seems they implemented kerning support in the meantime.
It would be nice to reopen this issue until glyphr implements kerning export in OTF.

A sidenote to others playing around with kerning in Libreoffice:
I was not able to create fonts with successful kerning (Libreoffice 7.4.4 / Win11) using the above workflow.
This only works after I have converted the otf files created with Font-Forge to ttf again using cloud-convert.

Btw: thanks a lot for this amazingly useful font editor.

@thoka thank you very much for the heads up! I'm working mostly on Glyphr Studio v2 at the moment... but if I can get Kern export working I can add it to both v1 and v2.

@thoka if you have a link to the kerning support you mentioned, I couldn't find it. I did a quick search of Issues and Releases, so I may have missed it.
