How to handle json returned from 'link'

I am using a simple 'bookmark' widget to call a webhook, the webhook returns a json payload which contains a URL that I can use to monitor progress.

Here's what I'd like to do:
Click on the 'link' (webhook) and parse the return json, and then display the 'progress' URL below (or next to) the link.

Is that possible?
