Hello,

Looking for an X11/Xorg alternative with small footprint.

Will this work on the illumos (OpenIndiana, Solaris) platform?

Thanks and have a great day

Hi @lonnietc,

I haven't personally tested Nano-X on Solaris, but I'm sure it can be fairly easily ported, provided that Solaris provides an RGBA framebuffer. However, using Nano-X as an X11 replacement can be limiting if you're expecting desktop X11 compatibility, as we provide an X11 <-> Nano-X compatibility layer primarily for smaller, embedded applications rather than typical X11-based desktop apps or GUIs.

Thank you!
