As stated in the syntax description, kramdown uses two dollar signs for inline math as well as block math. This cannot be changed. If Obsidian has a problem with files using kramdown syntax, then Obsidian needs to be adapted to correctly parse kramdown files. As you might know there is only one Markdown (the original one) whereas all others are more or less "Markdown-like". This also means that your editor needs not just one Markdown mode but many. |

In https://gendignoux.com/blog/2020/05/23/katex.html https://www.xuningyang.com/blog/2021-01-11-katex-with-jekyll/
the inline math formula is also delimited by double dollar symbol
$$...$$, not single dollar symbol$...$. As I tried, when usingmath_engine: katexthe content between single dollar symbol are not converted to formula. It's different to GitHub flavored markdown and different to markdown editors like Obsidian. Is it possible to make$...$inline formula work? If I use$$...$$for inline formula then Obsidian will forcefully make the formula occupy a whole line, which is not a good editing experience.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
