Feature Request: iOS/iPadOS applications #6
Comments
I'd love to hear more about what you would want here! This has been on my mind, but was not sure if I liked the idea of it, or the utility of it. |
@destari I'm glad it's been on your mind, too! I think that I like both. For me anyway, having the same files on the go, at the office, and at home would rock. I've found myself wishing I was in front of my desk to save and manage my files; so the idea of this being a thing would be awesome, to say the least. But yeah, I am visualizing more or less the same experience but across platforms. I think that 2 of the major keys here may be getting synchronization and Files integration down. A third thought that keeps coming to mind would be Shortcuts options (may be early to be considering this but thought I'd mention it). You've done great here on the Mac, and while there is some room for improvement, it being native makes me think it would be right at home on the iPad and iPhone. Would it help any for me to add more requests on this issue specifically (as I think of anything that I think may help toward a cross-platform app here)? |
What would help, is to know more detail about what you'd love to see on iPad, and iPhone - specific features (if I have to prioritize any), etc. Some of the functionality would be difficult on mobile devices, but much of it crosses over nicely. |
Hey again @destari, after some thought, I think (in no particular order) these would make for a great mobile Depot:
With that said, I think that the best option would be to make it as most like the desktop depot as possible. But having the essentials in your pocket, I think, would go a long way! :) |
With syncing, of course! ;)
