Considering that React is mostly backwards compatible, it shouldn't be that much work to update this to React 18. I can make a PR too, but looks like you guys aren't merging any.

Cesar, are you looking at the i18n themes? Or do you need that for one of the other themes? (Gatsby-theme-blog? Gatsby-theme-notes?)

Looks like you already took care of that in your forks, I'm gonna give them a try.
