backtoroots

For those who like me want/need one-liner tasks, bringing classic design to fulcrum.

If you want to help, check this branch:
https://github.com/hakunin/fulcrum/tree/feature/classic-design

What is sub-optimal and could be improved:

  • the css could use a little cleanup
  • I used text for points bars to do rapid prototyping, it would be wiser to use images
  • the header of the project needs some love
  • velocity is red when overriden, looks a bit weird..
  • Gritter's style got mangled, I'd rather remove it in favour of notices though
  • flash notices look a bit dated and don't fit with classic design
  • + add your own goals!

Hey @hakunin I would like to work on this. I've forked from the master branch and currently going through for understanding a bit more. Can you please let me know how I can continue with the point you've been to.
Thanks

Hi @sushil10018, definitely do what I say in the first message:

If you want to help, check this branch:
https://github.com/hakunin/fulcrum/tree/feature/classic-design

it should work for you, if you have any issues, let me know. I am using the classic design and am pretty happy with it.

@hakunin, sorry for being naive.
Do I need to fork from here too? or can I clone directly and push the changes here?

I think you can just use my fork and switch to that feature/classic-design branch.
Then when you make changes you can either create a pull request yourself to fulcrum or to my branch if you want.

I deleted the previous fork I made earlier. Forked it from yours.
how do I switch to the branch as you suggest. Below is the view I see currently.

switching branch is easy: git checkout feature/classic-design

I could get it from remote with git pull origin feature/classic-design.
Thanks @hakunin I can see the latest as you posted earlier. I'll ask help while making pull request once I've something to push.

Thanks again! 👍

@merodriguezblanco the design I use is finished in my fork. You'd probably have to convince the maintainer to take a look at it and consider using it.

I am no longer using fulcrum as I have developed a project management tool for one of my clients and I use that.

I no longer use fulcrum, so feel free to fork and continue if you want to work on it.
