Extra Large on Windows looks jagged #28
Comments
The bitmap previews in this dialog are always jagged, including for the Windows default pointers. Have you observed the jagginess after you apply the cursor scheme? |
The cursor does indeed appear jagged when applied, and not for the large version, at least not as much. |
I suspect you may be observing a subtle blurring but not jagginess, only with the Extra-Large variants, and only with the animated cursors, as they appear to contain only a 96x96 resolution. I've described this problem elsewhere: ful1e5/Bibata_Cursor#149 (comment) The static cursors should all appear fine: |
The cursor on my screen looks exactly as the first attached image, you judge if that counts as jagginess or blurriness. |
O.k. I've observed it by reducing my display resolution – Windows likely doesn't use smooth scaling when downscaling. The root cause is still the one I've pointed out: the Extra-Large variants, and only the animated cursors, contain just a 96x96 resolution. |
That reminds me! Sorry, I forgot to report my resolution and scaling settings, I'll edit the original issue with my settings now. |
Animated cursors (Work, Busy) in the extra large pack look pixelated/jagged compared to the large variant, which has smoother edges.
My resolution and scaling settings are 1280x1024 at 100% scaling.
This problem is present in your other cursors too (Bibata, macOS).
