Frictionless and Zenodo are collaborating on a new functionality that will express Zenodo metadata (and the associated files in the deposit) as Data Package. This will be similar to the many other formats they already support. It will be added to the dropdown and be accessible through their API: Note: I think the plan for now is that if the user has uploaded their own @Stephen-Gates and @roll might be able to provide more information on the status of that functionality. |

I've been wondering if there is a way to match a datapackage.json to the equivalent in zenodo (https://github.com/zenodo/zenodo/blob/master/zenodo/modules/deposit/jsonschemas/deposits/records/record-v1.0.0.json). I suspect that many data package will ultimately uploaded on zenodo, so it would be nice to have a match to ultimately have all of the datapakcage.json to be contained in the zenodo deposit record (accesible through the API easily).
I'm guess that such a functionality would be more relevant to software (e.g. https://github.com/frictionlessdata/frictionless-r) in comination with zenodo API (e.g. https://github.com/eblondel/zen4R), but I first wanted to know if there are any reasons why this is actually not a good idea.
