while i certainly don't want to suggest flip flopping back on all the issues already raised regarding the cross-quarter days (#804, #719, #551), i am in the camp that misses seeing the Celtic names displayed. they just sparked so much learning on my part, i got a great amount of enjoyment from them.
however, i agree there's no cause to be biased toward just one culture, when there are so many different names for these days, and for others. the only other culture i have any exposure to is Chinese, where there are 24 of those terms (e g., see here).
my feature request would be a new widget that displays the solar term(s) for the next event (along with it's calendar date) in whatever traditions/cultures/languages are selected in the widget's options. (i don't envision these showing up in the main app or anything, just simply in the one widget.)
this would obviously entail a bit of research, but it might be fun, and I'd be happy to contribute information so long as i know what the best format would be for that contribution.
thanks for considering!
