Suggestion by @rstrangh:

Instead of providing a JSON configuration for the structure of the page, just provide a path to a directory and build the structure from there. This should make it easier for people to get started and probably be good enough for most people. For people who want more control, they can still go with the JSON option.

Open question: Which files should be added? All Markdown files?

I'd suggest to allow including all/multiple markdown files. That could be restricted by suppling or not supplying a certain meta tag (title? status?)

Including at least multiple fils would be handy for this setup and users could reflect variants in an easy folder structure.
