So.. how to view my project?

I mounted Docker image and want to index and browse my project (in Ruby, but that doesn't matter for now). Getting started docs only describe how to inspect existing data that is shipped with the image, and commands that I try give strange errors.

Is there a tutorial/pipeline/workflow that walks though indexing 3rd party projects? I am particularly interested in indexing GitLab with scip-ruby, but any information would help.

You probably need to add a --db-root <path> otherwise the default is to contact a remote server.
We should change the default as it's not useful

You can add --schema glean/schema/source

Why a new repo is needed?

Is there a way to run https://github.com/sourcegraph/scip-ruby as external indexer?
