I have noticed that all the utilisation of braille glyphs is for rendering textart.

Fonts should switch to rendering them as box elements. Thank you for your consideration.

It seems an interesting mix. I don't understand exactly which part is set in Braille and which other is set in Box Elements. Do you have an idea?

According to this draft document, https://www.unicode.org/L2/L2021/21235r-terminals-supplement.pdf the "Symbols for Legacy Computing Supplement" coming in Unicode 16.0 (later this year, usually September-ish) will contain dedicated solid-fill characters for octant drawing (among a lot of other things), which will eventually allow applications to avoid repurposing braille for that.
