Removing draft.js as a dependency

Draft.js has not been supported for over 3 years now. What is Ketcher's roadmap for removing draft.js as a dependency?

Dear @tyteen4a03, thanks for bringing this up.

We have revisited our dependencies list quite recently upon working on React 19 support and most of them have been updated to the relevant versions.
We didn't manage to update draft.js though as it's not maintained anymore as you rightly noted. However, draft.js is used as a backbone of some of our components and it can't be just removed without proper replacement.

Unfortunately, we don't have this in our current roadmap thus I can't provide you with the exact estimates on that.
So far, it shouldn't cause any issues aside from install/build warnings but please let us know if it is crucial for you from security or performance standpoint, perhaps we could put it higher in our priorities.

We would appreciate any contribution from your side if you're willing to come up with a proper replacement for draft.js in our app – either another npm package or just replicating a similar functionality from scratch.
