sh2pc.exe gives me a black screen and stops working

I launched sh2pc.exe and it will open but then after a couple seconds of a black screen it crashes. It does not give me an error code nothing. I thought it needed an update but it wasn't that and i have installed everything again an it didn't fix the issue. can someone help me please.

This isn't one of our project files. Try removing it and see if the game then loads for you.

i removed it and it still wont open up the game.

I did create a d3dx.dll file for Linux. This dll only takes effect if you use the hacked version of sh2pc.exe file that loads d3dx.dll rather than d3d8.dll.

The only thing I can think of that would cause the game to be fully black is when it detects a new update. Can you verify that there are no pop-ups in the background that may be hidden behind the game window?

Additionally, try running the setup tool again to see if there are any updates.

If neither of those work try disabling the update checker from the config tool.
