What Happened?

There is a noticeable lag when opening the plug - I suppose it's because it's default pane is the wallpaper pane and it has to load a lot of pictures.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the Desktop plug

Expected Behavior

I see two possible solutions:

  • open the plug and start loading the pictures later, possibly with a loading indicator - this might be happening already though (minus the indicator)
  • make an other pane the default (maybe Appearance?)

OS Version

8.x (Circe)

Session Type

Secure Session (Wayland)

Software Version

Latest release (I have run all updates)
