Use of password in clear text

Use of password in clear text seems unsafe and 2 factor authentication has to be disabled to use it.
It might be better to use Personal API tokens (https://blog.github.com/2013-05-16-personal-api-tokens/) which can be used like a password without changing the script or disabling 2FA.
Furthermore you can restrict the abilities software/scripts have when using a certain API token to authenticate.
