Investigate missing certification expiration alert emails

I did not receive the email notification 180 days before my Microsoft certification was set to expire. My certification ID is correct, so the issue does not appear to be with the provided ID. It's unclear whether this is due to the alert service not running or a bug in the code.

Details:

• Certification ID: A7BBFAED2463FDB9
• Expiration date: 2/14/2026
• Expected email receipt date: 8/18/2025
• Actual: No email was received

Please investigate why the email was not sent and suggest next steps.

Uh oh, it's disabled:

Just re-enabled... looks like the last run was in June.

Leaving this issue open until I can look for a workaround to not have it auto-disable itself. Maybe make a little file in the repo that it can update with the current timestamp? Or maybe store the cert details like the expiration date in a markdown table in the readme. Something like that, that'll be updated approx every 60 days.
