The sound quality in my informal checks in the store was decent.
And the reviews online are that this is a very capable speaker with good
base
.But the reason I want to try a
Sonos
speaker(s) is: bluetooth sucks!!We have a couple of
SoundLink Revolve II Bluetooth® speakers
in the house and the sound quality is good. But as soon as more than 2 devices have paired with it, device management is impossible.
Concrete example. The speaker in our kitchen is paired to 5 devices (smart phones).
If any one of those devices is within Bluetooth range it will automatically connect when the speaker is turned on.
That seems like a desirable feature on the surface / initially ...
But if you don't want a certain phone (e.g. someone listening to a podcast in a different room but still within BT range) to be connected to the speaker, the only way to disconnect that device is to turn off BT on it!! That's bonkers!!
