We have welcomed strangers (who have become friends) into our lives over the past year.
However there are differing degrees of privacy people have become accustomed to.
We expect the highest level of privacy and don't want any strangers online knowing anything about our family.
If we choose to share something, that is our choice/right and not yours.
Treat our children/family with the respect you would for revered loved one in "witness protection"
who you don't want any "bad guys" knowing anything about. 🙏
3 Simple Rules:
Do not take photos of our children using your own device. No exceptions. Ever.
We have a dedicated iPhonejust for photos of our kids. If you want to take a photo of them doing an activity to
share with us, their parents, then request access to the "kids' photos iPhone".
Do not mention our children online in any form, especially not by name, they have a right to privacy.
Do not use swear/curse words or blasphemy around the house, we do not want our children learning that.
Note: we don't want to "censor" our children's vocabulary, but we have religious family and don't want them saying certain things that will raise unnecessary discussions.
If you have grown up in a secular home/environment and don't know what blasphemy is,
Please see: https://www.yourdictionary.com/articles/examples-blasphemy
Constantly using the expression "OMG" (expand the words) is blasphemy. 😖 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thou_shalt_not_take_the_name_of_the_Lord_thy_God_in_vain
You are free to use this expression in your own space+time. Just not around our children
because we do not want them to acquire it and use it in front of their grandparents who will be mortified!
We do not consent to any photographs, videos or any other recordings of our children.
We do not consent to their identity or any personally identifiable information being recorded or leaked.
We have legal right to this privacy and will not hesitate to enforce it. ⚖️
Opening this issue so that we can share with people who have not had privacy and safeguarding training. @iteles please add whatever you feel is needed. Thanks.

I have nothing to add and have added a succint version to the Workaway document I share with all new workawayers as they arrive (and will not share here because it has our address and personal contact information on it).
