This issue is to address the leftovers related to the merging of #2789

Document the little endianness.
Adjust error message for the transaction: invalid bytes.
Throw error for unreacheable.
Consider adding a panic handler.
Some functions and variables need renaming.
General leftover comments
This todo! still needs resolving. Otherwise we loose every contract-call, deplyment or memo if we pass the tx through this layer.
