Death counter increases on certain pipe transitions #71

Hey could you please give another highlight, or timestamp? I scanned your last 2 streams and could not find. It's probably some strange timing thing of entering a pipe immediately after dying or something. I'm curious to see the scenario. We've had one like this before but i thought it was cleared up. |
I am highlighting a video now where it happens through a pipe transition. It was also happening to me through door transitions, but I am not sure if I have an example of that or not. I could try to get it to do it, but I just don't remember which level that was happening on. I will look for that one, but I will post a clip soon of the pipe transition. |

I tried to find an example of it happening during a door transition, but I just couldn't remember the level it was happening on and I checked through many of my videos to try to find an example and I didn't find anything. I could turn the death counter back on and just keep checking it more closely during my streams to see if any other examples pop up. |

Still waiting to hear back on this and the other issue I posted about pause buffering giving a false clear flag. |
I noticed this during stream, but also while I was editing a video recently. I don't know if it matters, but it was a during a 3DW level that I noticed the issue. There were two pipe transitions in the level, one to go to the subworld and one to come back. The issue was only happening during the pipe transition to come back from the subworld. It would add a death to the counter every time. I'm assuming the transition was longer for some reason and it thought I was starting over. So unless this is fixed, I guess the plan is for me to remove the death counter because it is seriously inflating the actual death counts. I'm guessing this has happened a lot more often and I just haven't noticed.
