I have a question, How to use ExtFEMIO as a library to read BDF file.
Do you prepare to write some demo code?

Sorry, but I am not working with BVDF files anymore.

Have a look in the "tests" directory, see "test_bdf_cards.cpp".

The test are operating on "std::istringstream" instances. In your code, you wold be working with "std::iostream" instances.
