name not added on hidden field

i am using this to add a few auto complete fields on my php page

when i set in the settings:

 $('#basic').magicsearch({
                dataSource: dataSource,
                fields: ['catName'],
                id: 'id',
                format: '%catName%',
                name: 'cats',
                maxShow: 99,
                multiple: true,
                hidden: true,
                multiField: 'catName',
                multiStyle: {
                    space: 5,
                    width: 220
                }
            });

the name field is not being added to the field

<input class="magicsearch-hidden" type="hidden" value="8838,9063">
