Can you tell us more, as to why would you want that? By definition a kiosk mode shouldn't come out of full screen mode; as it would be an anti-pattern, but I'm curious. |

For me, it was because of two reasons one I can’t get the piosk dashboard to work, which I reported as a bug… For some reason, I cannot access the dashboard from another computer that is on the same network, whether it is wired or wireless network. I do not believe I’m running any sort of firewall on either side. I’ve tried this on my home Wi-Fi network. My phone is a hotspot and a self-contained wired network. I’ve tried using the IP address and I’ve tried using the host name. I’ve even tried changing the port that express uses. I’ve tried, and chrome on those other systems All of those attempts give me the same result which is a “connection refused“. For that reason, I would want to be able to drop out of kiosk mode to do set up. Currently, I have to SSH in and change it in a text level. I don’t even know what controls are available through the dashboard since I’ve never been able to bring it up.
The second reason is to adjust things like resolution. I found it very awkward to try to set the resolution via SSH on a text basis to see if the kiosk would render on the right resolution. It would be easier to be able to drop in and out of it.
Again these are minor concerns… It’s working really well for me. I really appreciate your contribution. !

For the first reason, I think we've found the cause of the issue #99 - please see if that worked. For the second, you can simply press Alt+F4 to kill Chromium, and get on with using the system with mouse and keyboard. Yes, it'll be better if you stop the Once you're done setting resolution etc. just reboot the system, and PiOSK should resume with new resolution. Hope that helps... thanks for using PiOSK! |

Piosk he's working great for me. The one function I would love to be able to do though is to be able to use some sort of secret key combination or mouse gesture to drop out a fullscreen mode so I can do things like change display resolution. As it is now the only way I know how to do that is to go in and edit the runner.SH and take out out of kiosk mode. Is there someway to drop out of (and maybe even drop back into) fullscreen mod
