avoid "traffic jams" so our content doesn't get lost

  • publishing reports on DSC website: agreed 4th Feb
  • other channels sign-posting the reports: 4th Feb onwards

We did pencil in Monday 4 February for this when we spoke a couple of weeks ago. Is this feasible do we think? Would need to be going for proofread in Digital Publishing next week

Yes still on for the 4th Feb for the reports to be published on DSC website. This was just to chat about further comms we use, like Twitter etc. Basically we discussed that we don't want to be tweeting when there's something more popular going out and we lose traffic. If that's the case then we can agree to put something out on a different day.

Ah I see - sorry! It looks ok from the central ONS comms grids - Personal and Economic well-being are out that day but nothing else. I could check with comms to see if they have any advice. I think the ideal would always be to do a big push via social media on publishing day as we always see the maximum impact then.

That's ok, and sounds like a plan. We just need to make sure that we have everything ready by then, (suitable tweets and emails written etc) if not we may need to communicate on these channels after the 4th Feb so we'll have to check comms grid again perhaps.
