These are the steps to take to make a new event. Right now (Decemeber 21st 2020) , this is really vague but it will grow
If you have a definite event:
- Open an issue with your event name
- add the issue to the "Events" project.
- Include the event name (city, i.e. Data Saturday Pordeone)
- Include the event date
- Include the event location, if physical
- Include a description of your event, including multiple languages, if applicable.
- Include Sessionize link for CFP (and end date)
- Include the Eventbrite (or other registration ) link
- post or contact one of the admins with your contact information. We can use [email protected] for now as a generic address
Admins will assign a number and build a static page, like this one, as time allows.
Please announce your call for speakers in your issue, but we recommend you also use these resources for speakers:
- Call for Data Speakers - https://callfordataspeakers.com/
- Facebook Call for Speakers group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/Call4Speakers/
Please add to your issue when you have the schedule and include the HTML or the script for the schedule to display this for users. As an example, here is a the code for sessionize:
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://sessionize.com/api/v2/zj4czc5p/view/GridSmart"></script>If you have questions, add them to this issue https://github.com/sqlcollaborative/DataSaturdays/issues/41
