There are thoughts about how to make functions like fill, fill_holes, closing have function names that better describe the morphological changes happening to the binary images. Proposed filter_by_size and there was group support for using "salt/pepper" terminology (similar to light vs dark object_type in segmentation) to avoid the need to invert, fill pepper, and then re-invert back.
