Currently IONOS doesnt allow destroying the infrastructur via Terraform, because there is a bug in the IONOS API.

If you want to destroy an environment like dev, you have

  1. to remove the machines via the IONOS UI
  2. Remove the .tfstate file locally
  3. rerun terraform apply

(!) with a remote state file, this will be not possible anymore

@sarvo001 Hello!
We've not yet tested your solution, this seems awesome! Before, I need to be sure it's production ready, and so could you please confirm servers are correctly added and removed automatically please?
This issue seems to explain the servers can't be removed automatically, but may be it's only special case when we want to remove all the infrastructure ?
Thanks!
